" TOP DOGS TO COMPETE IN QUEBEC "
You are cordially invited to attend the 2016 Canadian German Shepherd Dog Championship & Sieger Show. This year’s national event will be held in St-Hyacinthe , Quebec located just thirty(30) minutes east of Montreal, Canada’s second largest city. Montreal International Airport has many direct flights from all over North America and Europe. For those driving, only five(5) hours from Boston, MA or 6.5 hours from New York City.
The Championships combine the best of both worlds- the incredible performances of the sport dogs alongside the graceful beauty of the show. The sport dogs have all qualified by obtaining International Working Dog titles , which include tracking, obedience and protection. Many of the world’s service dogs-i.e. police, military, border patrol, search and rescue- come from dogs that have earned IPO working dog titles.
The conformation show is a demonstration of breed type and temperament held up to the internationally recognized breed standard standard for the German Shepherd Dog.
The National Championships are the final qualifier for Team Canada. The top five eligible handler-dog teams will go on to represent Canada at the World Championships to be held in Meppen, Germany in early October of this year.
We have a great venue right in the middle of town, just like we see in European championships. Located minutes from the 2 main hotels the main site includes bathrooms, meeting rooms, cafeteria, separate parking lots, vendor areas, etc. Please be advised that the town has recently lost a major hotel and consequently is often short of rooms. We strongly recommend you book ASAP using the appropriate codes to benefit from the special prices and assure yourself some lodging in close proximity. A block of rooms have been reserved till JUNE 15th.
We have secured excellent tracking fields. The Judges Banquet will be an event not to be missed. Please book your tickets via the website ASAP. Due to our geographical location we are anticipating a large number of entries in BOTH IPO AND SHOW.
For the tourists, beyond Montreal a large cosmopolitan city , you can also venture a little further ninety(90) minutes east of St-Hyacinthe and visit Quebec City, North America’s oldest and according to many the prettiest city. If you wish to discover and soak into a different culture and language without crossing the ocean, this is your opportunity.
Please visit the website regularly for updates and start planning your visit……………..
